Long reflection post ahead!
This weekend, our BBYN fam went on a roadtrip to Liard Hot Springs—and yes, it was beautiful. The hot springs were magical, the trees were tall, and the camping vibes were elite. But what made it truly special? The conversations.
Between the laughter, the stories, and too many snacks, we opened up. We talked about the real immigrant experience—the stuff that doesn’t make it to social media. The loneliness that creeps in even when you’re surrounded by people. The silent stress of immigration status hanging over our heads. The pressure to succeed, to send money home, to make it all “worth it.” The survival mode that never really turns off.
And still—we laughed. We shared. We supported each other.
We reminded ourselves that we’re not alone.
This is why BBYN exists: to hold space for these moments. To create community, courage, and connection—one weekend, one convo, one person at a time. We left that campfire feeling lighter, inspired, and so, so grateful for our circle.
Should we have recorded it? Maybe. Podcast soon? Who knows… stay tuned.
Until then, we keep growing, glowing, and going beyond borders. ![]()
