We started as a few of us just trying to feel less lost in a new place. We were immigrants, trying to find our place, trying to feel like we belonged. And along the way, we thought, “What if we created something that could help others feel a little less alone?” Now we’ve got an award. And more importantly, we’ve got a growing fam who show up, lift each other up, and make the Yukon feel like home. All the laughs, the hikes, the volunteering, the events, the new friendships… all of it.
This award is for every youth who showed up not knowing anyone and stayed. For every newcomer who didn’t feel like they fit in, until they finally did. For everyone who’s ever said “yes” to helping build something a little bigger than themselves.
We’ve always said we’re not here just to live in the Yukon. We’re here to grow in it. To be part of it. And to help others do the same. Reach out if you want to get involved!
